The craft

Shaped with precision. Finished with care.

It all begins with a solid block of metal. An uncompromising start.

Through advanced CNC milling, most of the material is removed – layer by layer – until only the essential remains. A form where nothing is superfluous.

Craft

Precision in every line.

Then begins the quiet refinement. Surfaces are worked, balanced and perfected.

Aluminium is treated with bead blasting, etching and anodising, creating a refined, resilient finish.

Brass is polished to a deep, warm glow that develops a natural patina over time.

Finally, the name is engraved. Precise. Permanent. Personal.

Materials

Aluminium

Modern strength in its purest form

Aluminium is a material defined by contrasts. Light – yet strong. Discreet – yet distinctive.

Known from advanced engineering to iconic design, it is a material where function and aesthetics merge.

The anodised surface adds a silky depth and a durability that withstands the passage of time. A calm, confident choice.

Brass

Timeless warmth

Brass is a material with soul. The polished surface catches the light and adds a subtle warmth to the room.

But it is over time that the material truly reveals its character. The patina develops slowly. Unique. Unpredictable. Beautiful.

A name sign in brass is not static – it lives on with the place it belongs to.

Created to be noticed – without shouting

A name. A material. A piece of craft.

Typography

More than just letters

We rarely think about it. But typography is everywhere. On your front door. On your phone. On signs you pass every day. Letters are not just something we read – they are something we feel.

Typeface and design must form a greater whole. A name sign does not begin with the material – it begins with the visual expression, where typography sets the tone.

Letters are not just something we read – they are something we feel.

When letters get personality

Working with our type designer opened a door to a whole new world – and a whole new language. Suddenly we weren't just talking about letters, but about x-height, baseline, kerning and leading. Yes… we know. It sounds a bit nerdy. But that is actually where the magic lies.

Because it's about the small things: the spacing between letters, their height, the air around them – and how it all works together. What you don't notice… until it's done right.

We discovered how much form and proportion matter. How an open counter or a sharp aperture can change the entire expression. How "with feet" (serif) and "without feet" (sans serif) are not just technical terms – but feelings.

Some typefaces are sharp and modern. Others are soft and classic. Some feel exclusive. Others more understated. That is exactly the mood we work with when designing our name signs.

That is why we have carefully selected four typefaces, each bringing something unique – and together making design and typography form a higher unity.

What you don't notice… until it's done right.

Your name. Your first impression.

A name sign is one of the first things people see. It is a detail – but an important one. It says something about who you are before the door is even opened.

That is why we care about typography. Not as a technical discipline. But as a way of creating identity.

A name sign does not begin with the material – it begins with the visual expression.

A tribute to what we take for granted

We live in a world full of letters. They guide us, inform us and welcome us. Often without us noticing.

But when it is done right – you can feel it.

That is the feeling we have tried to capture in our signs.

A love of the detail.

A respect for the craft.

And a tribute to typography.
